ISTEA Planners Workbook Acknowledgments

The ISTEA Planner's Workbook would not have been possible without the hard work and recommendations of many individuals. STPP would like to thank its Planning Committee, and especially the two Co-Chairs -- Al Eisenberg and Nancy Willis -- for all the effort they put into developing the framework for this project and reviewing the papers as they were developed. We would also like to thank Janet Oakley at the Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (a project of the National Association of Regional Councils) for soliciting MPO comments to the draft papers. We are grateful for all the comments and suggestions we received from: J. Phillip Boyd, Atlanta Regional Commission; King Cushman, Puget Sound Regional Council; Steven Gayle, Binghamton Metropolitan Transportation Study; Bill Habig, Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission; Bill Hein, Metropolitan Transportation Commission; Nora Lake, Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission; David Pampu, Denver Regional Council of Governments; and A. Dean Wheatley, City of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Finally, of course, we are grateful for the hard work of each of the authors. The commitment they have given to this project is truly appreciated.

The Surface Transportation Policy Project is a nationwide network of more than 800 organizations, including planners, community development organizations, and advocacy groups, devoted to improving the nation’s transportation system.
