improvements projects to increase bicycle and pedestrian safety
near schools

Summary:
|
Traffic and pedestrian
safety improvements near schools are proposed by cities, counties,
and state agencies and submitted to the program for approval.
Proposals are evaluated based on proximity to school, type of
school (elementary schools most preferred), posted speed at the
proposed project site, record of traffic accidents at the proposed
project site, and amount of local match and school match.
