Making Transportation Work for Communities
STPP's 2003 Calendar

As Congress prepares to renew TEA-21 - the nation's transportation law - in 2003, a range of new critical transportation challenges now face our nation. We must weave our air, water, rail, highway, mass transit, bikeway, and pedestrian systems together to provide seamless systems and better transportation choices for all Americans.

We need to "fix it first" and prioritize our federal funding to help repair, maintain, and operate our roads, bridges, and mass transit systems. We have to ensure that transportation safety is broadened to include projects that make it safer for children to walk and bike to school. And we must reform government institutions that make transportation decisions by requiring more transparence, accountability, public input, and local control.

These are our challenges, and the renewal of TEA-21 is our opportunity.

This 30 page calendar is full of stunning photos and contains many important dates regarding TEA-21's reauthorization agenda. This is a must-have for advocates, elected representatives, reporters and agency officials.
